Performance Evaluation of VoIP Service for Emergency Disaster Responses over WiMAX-WLAN Integrated Network

As a very large archipelago country, Indonesia has high intensity of the natural disaster. In many cases, telecommunication infrastructure collapse during Therefore, prominent and robust emergency network is required. this paper, an implementation VoIP services over WiMAX-WLAN integrated proposed. The designed to provide alternative disaster response. service selected for study case because can be used as complementary telephony service. WiMAX based on IEEE Standard 802.16-2004 with frequency band 3.5 GHz while WLAN 802.11n. To support scenarios topology, proposed in P2P PMP topologies. Within these topologies, performance evaluated terms delay, jitter, throughput packet loss, well MOS value. various background traffic. From experimental evaluation, it shows that becomes worse when load represented by traffic exceeding 3 Mbps. general, there no significant different between topology.
